Ensuring Equal Access
AdventHealth University (AHU) is committed to creating experiences that are accessible to everyone. This commitment includes ensuring equal access to the information provided on our websites, especially for individuals who use assistive technologies to access website content.
AHU is committed to ensuring that our websites are in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. To meet this compliance, we have adopted the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA as the standard for publishing university website content.
We use a variety of tools to assess our website’s accessibility and improve it where applicable. These tools include Siteimprove to actively monitor potential accessibility issues, and NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA) to assess the compatibility our website with screen reading software.
Please be aware that maintaining our website’s accessibility is a continuous process of improvement.
