Rachel Miles, DNP

Rachel Miles, DNP, MSN, BSN, is Chief Nursing Officer for AdventHealth Colorado and AdventHealth Porter in Denver. A former Director of Nursing with AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division, Dr. Miles is very familiar with the culture of AdventHealth University’s ministry and now has the opportunity to collaborate closely with AHU’s Denver campus. She recently served in executive roles within the Centura Health system, including Chief Nursing Officer for the Denver Metro Group and Vice President of Nursing Operations. Dr. Miles has a track record of improving nurse engagement and retention while achieving strategic growth. As a passionate advocate for nurses, she is committed to ensuring caregivers and patients have a positive experience. Her leadership philosophy includes keeping frontline caregivers in mind when making decisions. Dr. Miles earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Regis University in Denver and her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Nursing from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Miles and her husband have been married for more than 20 years and have an adult son. They love hiking with their two dogs and even own a CrossFit gym in Aurora, CO.
