Adam Wood, PharmD

Dr. Adam Wood began teaching at AdventHealth University as an adjunct professor in 2017. He began his career in medicine when he graduated from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in 2010. He then pursued his interests in clinical toxicology by completing a two-year fellowship with the Florida Poison Information Center – Jacksonville and UF Health Jacksonville. Dr. Wood then became a board-certified clinical toxicologist by the American Board of Applied Toxicology.

After completing his training, Dr. Wood began working at Nemours Children's Hospital as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Emergency Services in 2012 and eventually became the Clinical Pharmacy Lead in 2014 before transitioning to teaching full time. Dr. Wood continues to work at Nemours Children's Hospital along with consulting as a clinical toxicologist for the Florida Poison Information Center – Jacksonville.
