Biography

Professor Alicia Crews is a full-time faculty member at Advent Health University. She began her tenure in December 2024 as an adjunct instructor and was recently appointed to a full-time faculty position. In her current role, she serves as both an instructor and the clinical coordinator for the undergraduate nursing program.
Her academic credentials include a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from Walden University, and she is currently preparing for board certification. Additionally, she holds a master’s degree in nursing education from Capella University and an associate’s degree in nursing from Herzing University.
Professor Crews teaches Fundamentals and Health Assessment Lab, where she serves as the Lab Lead, and co-teaches Mental Health Nursing. She is deeply committed to mentoring students in both classroom and clinical settings, fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes professional growth and confidence.
With a strong background in psychiatric nursing and nursing education, Professor Crews is passionate about equipping future nurses with the critical thinking and clinical skills necessary for high-quality patient care. Her research interests include psychiatric nursing education, simulation-based learning, and innovative strategies to enhance mental health outcomes in diverse populations.
