Biography

Deborah Stephens Edgerton is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing at Adventist University of Health Sciences. She earned her MSN in Women’s Health Practitioner at the University of Florida, her BS in Nursing from Loma Linda University and her AS in Nursing from Southern Adventist University (formerly Southern Missionary College). Mrs. Edgerton has over 30 years’ experience focusing on the care of Women’s and Infants in acute and clinic care, Education of both Nursing students and RN’s in practice, and Childbirth Education. Mrs. Edgerton helped to develop the Nursing and Professional Student Success program at AHU and she currently teaches Pharmacology and Childbearing to the BS in Nursing Students. Mrs. Edgerton volunteers in her community in areas of adaptation and loss related to Childbearing, and in guiding Individuals and their families in coping with cancer and caregiving.
