Professor Jewell Myers has been a nursing faculty member since 2019. She was delighted to join the Department of Nursing at AdventHealth University in 2024, where she serves as an Instructor; Success Coach and Remediation Specialist. She earned a BS degree in Nursing from Winston Salem State University in 2008 and an MSN with a concentration in Nursing Informatics in 2015. Jewell began her nursing career in Neonatal Intensive Care, where she became certified in High-Risk Neonatal Nursing by the National Certification Corporation. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, the Southern Nursing Research Society, and the National Association of Neonatal Nurses. After earning her Master’s, she specialized in clinical education before transitioning into a nursing faculty role. She was honored with a DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurse Educators in 2021. Additionally, she holds dual certifications in Health and Life Coaching (CHC and CLC) from the International Coach Federation and Human Capital Institute. Her philosophy of servant leadership is evidenced by volunteerism in local health evangelism and children’s ministry.
