Shaneka Dumas, MSN, RN

Professor Dumas is a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse who has dedicated her career to providing exceptional patient care with a compassionate touch. Professor Dumas' academic background began with an Associate of Arts degree from Lake-Sumter State in 2015. She then went on to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at AdventHealth University's Department of Nursing, where she graduated with honors in 2020. Driven by her passion for learning, Professor Dumas continued her education and obtained a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with an Education Track from AdventHealth University's Department of Nursing in 2023.

Throughout her career, Professor Dumas has received accolades and awards for her outstanding performance and dedication to patient care. In 2022, she was nominated for the DAISY Award at Nemours Children’s Health. In 2020, she received the Department of Nursing Excellence in Leadership Award from AdventHealth University, and in 2019, she was named the Living the Mission Hero of the Month awardee at AdventHealth Apopka.

Professor Dumas is an active member of various nursing societies, including the Metropolitan Orlando Chapter (MOC) of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She remains committed to staying up-to-date on the latest nursing practices and techniques to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care possible.
