Dr. Theresa Kyle is a professor of nursing and the coordinator of the RN-BSN and Master of Science in Nursing programs. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her Master of Science in Nursing from Emory University, and Doctor of Nursing Practice in Education Leadership from American Sentinel University. She teaches a variety of courses and serves on various committees in the AHU Department of Nursing. Her research interests include student-centered learning, and primary care and neurodevelopmental follow-up of high-risk infants. As a pediatric nurse and pediatric nurse practitioner, she has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient pediatric specialty and primary care settings. Dr. Kyle is also the co-author of two undergraduate nursing textbooks, “Essentials of Pediatric Nursing” and “Maternity and Pediatric Nursing,” both in their fifth edition, and the author/editor of “Primary Care Pediatrics for Nurse Practitioners – A Practical Approach.”
