For the donors, participation in this fund will be anonymous. For the students who are awarded this scholarship, the current donors invite you to, someday, do something to honor the Scripture for which this fund is named. - Seth Kite Memorial Scholarship
-
The Founders have chosen to establish this scholarship fund at the University to honor the memory of Seth Kite who was born October 6, 2013. They placed it there with the desire that Seth would come to know the God who would never leave his side.
Seth died January 9, 2014, and his parents found that the scripture that was intended to be a promise to their son has been God’s promise to them. God does not always spare us from suffering, but He always walks alongside us through it and uses it to mold our hearts to resemble His. Jeff and Tiffany have found that the path to healing and restoration looks like living a life that focuses on others and celebrates God’s mercies in each step of the journey.
God has used difficulty to bring the Kites’ hearts closer to God, and through the Kites, God has reached and touched the hearts of many. It is the desire that this scholarship is used as a tool for the Lord to use as He continues to tell the story, through all of our lives, of how He makes broken things brand new.

With gifts of books about healthy eating, Jean often blessed friends and strangers alike who were experiencing cancer or other health issues. She said it was her mission to help others in that way. Dr. Rahn and Natalia Shaw created the Stillwell-Shaw Endowment which stands as a heartfelt tribute to the remarkable legacy of Emily Stillwell, a distinguished nursing graduate of the class of 1950. This endowment was established not only to honor her contributions to the field of healthcare but also to inspire future generations of compassionate caregivers. With a vision deeply rooted in service and dedication, the Stillwell-Shaw Endowment is committed to fostering excellence among healthcare students who embody the spirit of commitment and care that Emily exemplified throughout her life.
By providing essential support for physician relations and recognizing the hard work and determination of helathcare students, this endowment nurtures the next wave of healthcare heroes. It aims to empower those who aspire to make a difference in the lives of patients and communities, ensuring that Emily's legacy of service continues to thrive. In a world where compassion and expertise are paramount, the Stillwell-Shaw Endowment serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration, reminding us all of the transformative power of nursing and the enduring impact of a life devoted to the service of others.
