A World-Class Associate of Science in Nursing Program
As the health sciences continues to embrace technological solutions and innovate patient care, it’s vital for nursing associate degree students to gain competence in the latest equipment and tools used in patient care. When you join the ASN degree program, world-class hospital labs across Orlando, Florida and Tampa, Florida will become your classrooms.
We keep our AS in nursing classes small so you can enjoy meaningful face-to-face time with our esteemed nursing program faculty. You’ll work in our state-of-the-art simulation labs under the guidance of our faculty experts to build the confidence and practical skills to excel as a nursing professional on day one of your career.
AHU’s ASN degree program stands apart, thanks to our mission-focused foundation. By combining nursing sciences with a faith-based educational environment, we help students focus on whole-person learning and care — which looks at each patient as an individual physically, psychologically, and spiritually.
Hands-On Learning. Real-World Environment.
Rigorous experiential learning makes up the core of our Associate of Science Nursing program. Every class will offer you chances to study cases, participate in virtual and in-person simulations and group discussions, and to use interactive technology that enhances the learning experience.
We’ve designed unique Dedicated Education Units (DEU) in AdventHealth hospitals to provide a safe, efficient, and seamless transition from nursing student to practicing nurse. In the DEU program, you’ll work intensively with nurse leaders known as preceptors — treating patients and gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic hospital environment.
AHU also offers an impactful Clinical Scholars program in which a practicing nurse in the AdventHealth system devotes one shift each week to serving as a clinical instructor for nursing program students. Clinical Scholars work closely with seven to eight students in a simulation lab, skills lab, and a hospital unit.

With your BSN, you can also go on to serve in leadership roles within your current hospital or clinic.
