2023-2024 Update: For general studies and program admission for the 2023-2024 academic year, AHU will be test-optional and not require submission of ACT or SAT scores. However, AHU strongly encourages applicants who have ACT and/or SAT scores to submit them during the application process, as this will expedite course placement and enhance academic advising.
A minimum ACT composite score of 19 with an individual score of 19 in math, or a combined SAT score of 910 (rSAT: 990) with an individual 510 in math. Applicants with 24 or more credits from a regionally accredited college are exempt from taking the ACT or SAT.
- Recommendations
-
Submit two AHU Recommendation Forms. If an applicant to an undergraduate program has completed at least one trimester at AdventHealth University before being admitted to a program, one of the two recommendations must come from any AHU faculty member, adjunct professor, tutoring coordinator, chaplain, or academic advisor.
- Interview
-
Competitive applicants will be invited to attend an interview. Meeting minimum admissions requirements does not guarantee an invitation for an interview. Every applicant who wishes to be accepted to the program must complete the interview process.
Additional Enrollment Requirements
Applicants who are accepted into the program must also meet the following requirements in order to matriculate.
- Deposit
-
Accepted applicants must place a nonrefundable $200 deposit to reserve your program seat. Your acceptance letter will outline a deposit amount and deadline indicating when we must receive the deposit. Once enrolled in the program, these funds will be applied to your account. Those who paid the deposit but decline to enroll in the program will forfeit the deposit; If that student is admitted to the same program at a later date, AHU will require another full deposit. If an applicant is admitted to a program with prerequisites in progress and becomes ineligible for admission due to grades, however, a full refund will be provided. A professional program deposit is not transferable to another department.
- Required Health Records
-
- Annual verification of tuberculosis screening (PPD test)
- Updated immunization records including hepatitis B, MMR and Tetanus-Diphtheria
- Verification of varicella vaccination or show immunity (titer)

The results of this background check may impact eligibility for certification and licensure and should be completed in advance of beginning an educational program.
- Clinical Education and Transportation
-
The Nuclear Medicine Technology Program incorporates five consecutive trimesters of clinical education. Students will attend clinicals two to three days a week depending on the trimester. Clinical hours may fall anywhere between 7 am and 5 pm on each assigned day.
- Students can expect to drive up to 40 miles from the AHU campus to reach their assigned clinical site. Students must obtain their own reliable transportation.
- No preferential treatment is given to the assignment of clinical sites. We cannot make special accommodations based on the student's address, work schedule, or other personal obligations.
- In a given trimester, you may be required to rotate to more than 1 clinical site.
- Student health records must be recently authenticated in order to attend clinicals.
